These are Sweden’s fastest-growing songwriters of 2026
STIM is now presenting this year’s list of Sweden’s fastest-growing songwriters, based on unique data from STIM. The songwriters are all in a strong growth phase in their careers and have increased their STIM payouts by at least 100 percent over the past year. In recognition of this achievement, they receive the +100! award, which is now being presented for the fifth consecutive year.
This year’s list features 55 songwriters and highlights the diversity of Swedish music creation, with pop, hip hop, contemporary classical music, electronic music, metal and international collaborations all represented. It reflects a music industry in constant motion, where new sounds, expressions and formats continue to emerge in response to changing listening habits and technological development.
“It was unexpected and a bit surreal to get the news. It’s easy to get stuck in the swamp of imposter syndrome and start thinking you haven’t really achieved anything,” says Emil “ay-Mill” Högberg, one of the songwriters on this year’s list.
To remind himself of the recognition, Emil has saved an image of the +100! list with his name on it — proof to look back on if doubt starts to creep in during the train journey home to Sundsvall.
The award is based on data from all payments made by STIM over the past year. Thanks to STIM’s extensive dataset, it is possible to identify trends and highlight emerging songwriters with great precision.
“What makes +100! so exciting is that the list captures a phase where a great deal can happen in a short period of time. We can see how new songwriters quickly find their audience and begin to take their place, both in Sweden and internationally. It is incredibly inspiring,” says Julia Bertling Szytek, Writer Relations at STIM.

+100! is based on data from all payments Stim made during 2024–2025, with a focus on songwriters who are in an early stage of their careers. The list is possible thanks to Stim's access to data that provides a unique insight into trends within music and the development of Swedish songwriters. With nearly 100,000 members, over 23,000 customers and 40,000 music licenses, large amounts of information about how and where music is played flow in every day. This creates data-driven knowledge with a precision that cannot be found anywhere else.
