What did Stim do for its members in 2025?

The simple answer is that we made sure you got paid when your music is used. But behind the scenes lies extensive work – to increase revenue streams, correctly allocate them and develop the system.
In 2025 this meant, among other things:
More money for your music
We developed our international operations, renegotiated contracts and increased revenue from abroad. In Sweden, we surpassed one billion SEK in licensing revenue, driven by a strong year for live and new contracts.
Revenue from all over the world
Through global collaborations you receive compensation no matter where your music is used. In 2025, we for the first time made payouts for performances in Papua New Guinea.
The right payments to the right people
We use advanced systems and large datasets to match music and distribute payouts as accurately as possible. During the year almost 80,000 members received compensation, and a larger repertoire than before could be included in the settlements.
Regular payments
Several payments per year, from both Swedish and international revenue.
Better accuracy through new technology
During the year we put new systems into operation, including CUBE, and took steps towards an even moredata-driven distribution. This means more music can be identified and compensated correctly.
Developed services for better overview
We launched a new stim.se-website and continued to develop our member services toprovide better service and clearer insight into your revenue.
Negotiations that increase your revenue
We continuously worked to improve agreements, both in Sweden and internationally.
A voice for your rights
Stim represented you on copyright issues – nationally and globally, including new arenas such as AI.
Support and opportunities in your creative work
Access to studios and coworking in Stim Music Room and through collaborations in several places around the country, as well as the opportunity to apply for support, grants and participate in networks and development projects.
2025 was a year of major technological change. This has entailed challenges, such as the digital experience which has affected members in some extent. We are well aware of this and continuously work to improve our services.
Stim does not charge more than it costs to run operations. In 2025 the costs corresponded to 10.6 percent of revenue. Simultaneously, we earn returns on the capital we manage, which means the cost deduction becomes lower over time – in 2025 it was 7.5 percent.
So what did the costs bring about in 2025?
More money into your music.
Making sure it ends up in the right place.
And building a system that works – in the year that has passed, this year and years to come.
