Casper Bjørner to leave position as CEO of STIM

Over the past year, Casper Bjørner has been absent from STIM's operations due to medical reasons. During this period, Casper and the Board have engaged in dialogue regarding the future. Given the continued uncertainty concerning his health, and considering STIM’s need for long-term, fully operational leadership in a period of significant transformation in the music industry, it has been mutually agreed that this is the appropriate course of action.
— We would like to express our great appreciation for Casper's contributions since he joined STIM in October 2021. During his time as CEO he has brought strong dedication, positioned Stim in broader external contexts and been central to strategically important ownership and development issues, including the ICE collaboration, says Carina Brorman, Chair of STIM's board.
To ensure a stable transition, Casper will be available as a senior adviser on a limited basis until 31 May 2026.
Fredrik Tumegård, who has been acting CEO since 3 November 2025, will continue as CEO throughout 2026. The board decided on this extension at the turn of the year to ensure continuity and clear leadership during a strategically important year for STIM.
— STIM is strong and continues its work with full focus on our mission – to create value for rights holders and publishers and to contribute to a well-functioning international music rights market, says Carina Brorman, Chair of the board, Stim.
