Fredrik Tumegård appointed CEO of Stim

The Board of Directors of Stim has appointed Fredrik Tumegård as CEO of the organisation. Since November 2025, he has led the organisation as interim CEO and now has the Board's continued confidence to lead Stim into the next phase of development.
AI, digitalisation, globalisation and evolving consumption patterns are rapidly reshaping the way music is
created, used and valued. At the same time, the need for strong collective organisations that can
safeguard the rights of music creators and ensure fair remuneration is growing in an increasingly complex
market. Fredrik Tumegård brings extensive leadership experience from technology-driven and
international businesses.
– During his first months as interim CEO of Stim he has established a close collaboration with the Board,
earned strong trust in the organization and initiated several key development initiatives. Fredrik joined
Stim at an important time and has quickly demonstrated strong leadership, a clear focus on member
value and organisational development. He combines a deep understanding of Stim’s mission with
extensive experience in technology, transformation and international business. These capabilities are
becoming increasingly important as the music market evolves and global competition for rights, talent
and revenue intensifies. The Board is confident that Fredrik is the right person to continue developing
Stim, strengthen the value we create for our members, and ensure that Swedish music creators maintain
a strong position in the music economy of the future, says Carina Brorman, Chair of the Board of Stim.
– I am both honoured and humbled by the Board’s confidence. Stim plays a unique and vital role in
ensuring that music creators are fairly compensated whenever their music is used. In a time of rapid
change, collective management organisations need to continue to evolve to create even greater value for
their members. Together with our members, employees and partners, I look forward to building on our
momentum, strengthening Stim and further enhancing our position in the global music economy, says
