He has won the ‘Karamelodiktstipendiet’ prize for innovative use of language, and has had his own TV series. He has come last in the ‘Melodifestivalen’ competition, and he has been compared with the revue writer and performer Karl Gerhard. And he has been in the charts for five decades. Magnus Uggla put out his first record forty years ago this year. And he is bigger than ever.

The Swedish Government has announced the nominees for their annual music export prize. All of them are STIM affiliated music creators.
December payment 2013
The payment for December 2013 included remuneration for the following royalty categories:
Max Martin awarded twice by the Swedish Government
On Thursday the 19th, Stim affiliated producer and song writer Martin Sandberg received the Swedish Governments 2014 Music Export Prize along with the honorary price for lengthy and substantial efforts in promoting Swedish music export.
New CEO at ICE
The parent companies, PRS for Music and STIM, have appointed Craig Nunn, currently CFO of PRSfM, as interim CEO of ICE.
STIM and music publisher Kobalt end licensing cooperation
STIM and the music publisher Kobalt have decided not to extend their collaboration agreement signed in the spring of 2013. The partnership included a direct licensing solution for multi-territorial digital music services across Europe.
New report: Music Export Strategy 2015/2016
In 2013 Export Music Sweden and Musiksverige issued a questionnaire to organizations in the Swedish music industry to explore their views on target markets for export. In 2015 a follow-up survey was conducted.
Swedish success at the Ascap Pop Awards
At this years Ascap Pop Awards Swedish acts were in the forefront. Max Martin won the category "Songwriter of the Year" for the fifth consecutive time which lands him an amazing total of eight awards.
New license model for synchronisation
Starting June 1 NCB is launching a new licensing model for synchronization, which is the use of music in film and television productions. The model is the same for the entire Nordic region and contains flat rates and routines regarding direct licencing.
