Nyhet3 June 2015

During the past year, STIM-licensed revenue totaled SEK 1,7 billion, an increase of 6 percent. This made possible our heretofore largest remuneration to creators – 1,4 billion SEK. The most significant revenue growth stemmed from online and new media, increasing by 18 percent, as well as from foreign revenue. We also noted record revenues from live music performances, including both festivals and single concerts.

During the past year, STIM-affiliated songwriters topped Billboard charts during fourteen out of the year's fifty-two weeks, and within the international classical/art music scene our composers’ works were performed at a number of widely acclaimed events.

The total amount of STIM-affiliated creators with foreign revenues over SEK 100 000 also increased – 243 people compared to 215 in 2013. This number has grown every year over the past decade and a half.

At STIM, we are convinced that this development shows that collective management is a powerful tool in long-term safeguarding the value of music. Please take part of more key figures, statistics and important events in the STIM 2014 Annual Review
