Responsible Organiser refers to companies (limited liability, trading partnership or one-man business), foundations, associations or private individuals who are legally responsible for the music performance.
For events that charge admission, for example live shows or club events, we consider the Responsible Organiser to be the entity that holds the cash journal in which ticket revenue is entered. For events that do not charge admission, the Responsible Organiser is the entity that holds primary responsibility for financial accounting for the majority of costs.
If costs are evenly distributed among various organisers, the event's initiator or the practical organiser of the event is considered to be the Responsible Organiser. If the majority of revenues and/or costs are subsequently credited/charged to an entity other than the one indicated in the previous paragraph, this entity will be considered the Responsible Organiser.
