Variations to the distribution model for Logged Online Music

The remuneration for streaming/internet radio consists of 70% performance and 30% mechanical. For this reason each work is listed on two separate rows in your royalty document from STIM; one row for the performing rights and one for the mechanical rights.

The opposite ratio applies for downloads, meaning 70% are mechanical rights and 30% are performance rights. This as well is listed on two separate rows in the royalty document.

Remunaration that relates to music use made by music providers consits of 100% mechanical rights and because of this is listed on one row only in the document.

For subscription-based VOD services (video on demand) the applied ratio is 70% performance and 30% mechanical , while downloads / purchases of VOD material are distributed 30% performance and 70% mechanical. Finally, for VOD material rented for a limited time, the ratio is 50% performance and 50% mechanical.
