Listed as Distribution Category 13 in the royalty statement from STIM.

Where does the money come from?

TV3, TV4, Kanal 5, TV6 and Canal+ pay royalties to STIM.

How is the music reported?

TV3, TV4, TV4+, TV400, TV4 Film, Kanal 5, TV6, and Canal+ report to STIM what music has been played. We also receive cue sheets from producers, TV channels and STIM organisations in other countries (a cue sheet is a list of music titles used in a film, along with the copyright holders and a statement of how long each title was played).

How is the money distributed?

Royalties are distributed in line with the information reported to STIM. Regional TV4 yields lower royalties than TV4's nationwide broadcasts. All film music yields royalties under Grade A and as background music.

When is the money paid?

Twice a year (June and December). Each payment includes what was performed/played during the previous six months.

How can I file a claim/complaint?

Log into My Pages and complete  the form  "Radio eller tv i Sverige" (Radio or TV in Sweden) under Claim. A claim must be filed within three months of receiving the royalty information from STIM.
