Swedish success at the Ascap Pop Awards
At this years Ascap Pop Awards Swedish acts were in the forefront. Max Martin won the category "Songwriter of the Year" for the fifth consecutive time which lands him an amazing total of eight awards. That leaves him tied with with legendary song producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who also have eight wins.
Max Martin worked on some of the year's biggest hits with artists like Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Iggy Azalea and Taylor Swift. Other Swedish talents whose work was celebrated during the evening was Shellback, Rickard Göransson, Fredrik Berger Patrik Berger, Stefan Gräslund, James Jerlström, Tove Lo, Ludvig Söderberg and Ilya Salmanzadeh. This was the 28th time Ascap Pop Awardswas held and the venue of the evening was the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.
