In order to use music onboard the plane, the airline needs to obtain a music licence from STIM. There are two different fees for using music - one for "boarding music" and one for "inflight music".
Boarding music refers to music that is played while the plane is on the ground and motionless and inflight music refers to music that is played after the plane starts to move.
Boarding music: SEK 5,001 per plane and year.
Inflight music: The fee is SEK 118.44 for one-way flights within Europe for planes with up to 300 seats.

Offer your travellers music and enhance the positive sensation of travelling. Music can help travellers create a personal sphere, making the trip more pleasant and relaxing.
You need a music licence from STIM if you offer passengers music during their trip. The licence gives you permission to use music via radio and TV, as well as recorded music.
Permission applies both to non-sleeper and sleeper carriages. Special rules apply to restaurant and cinema carriages. Read more under Restaurants and Cinemas and film showings.
The fee is SEK 132 per carriage and month for music that is played from a radio, CD, TV or DVD, for example.

You need a music licence from STIM if you offer passengers music during their trip. The licence gives you permission to use music via radio and TV, as well as recorded music.
The fee is based on passenger capacity per vehicle. The fee is 926 SEK for buses with capacity for 90 passengers.
