Change of the previous pricing model
Until 2018, Stim had a special pricing model for events, where the fee was a fixed amount for all music usage. It was the same amount regardless of how the music was used, which over time made the pricing model inflexible.
To make it easier for event organizers to customize their music license, we switched to a new pricing model in 2019 based on the specifics of your event.

Here’s how licenses work for those organizing events – these are the applicable terms:
Events with background music
If your event only features what we call background music, then the music license for recorded background music - single days is the one that suits you best. The price is based on how many visitors you have at the event and how many events you hold during the year.
Events with live music
If you have live music, meaning a band or artist performing music on-site, you’ll need our license for live music.
Events with dance or DJ
If a DJ is playing music or you have dancing at the event, you will need the license for discos and bar DJs.
