Basic License for Online Music

This license applies to businesses with limited music usage online (up to 15,000 user sessions per month) and small or no related income from music usage (maximum 5,000 SEK in music-related income per month). Music-related income refers to revenue from users of the Licensee's online service related to the use of music, such as membership fees, and/or revenue from advertising and sponsorship related to music usage. Music-related income is defined as the whole or a reasonably estimated portion of this income, depending on how much the music contributes to the service and income.

Under the basic online music license, the Licensee may use music online for "on-demand streaming", "web radio" (linear online broadcasts), and/or "downloads" within the limits specified below.

License Fee for 2025

• Licensees with up to 5,000 user sessions per month will pay 432 SEK per month.
• Licensees with between 5,001 – 15,000 user sessions per month will pay 1,233 SEK per month.

The license also has the following limitations

• On-demand streaming – up to 12,000 streamed music works per month
• Web radio (linear online broadcasts) – up to 50,000 streamed music works per month
• Download – up to 350 music works per month (referring to downloads from "web radio" or "on-demand streaming" as stated above)

The Licensee has the right within the license to use all three categories (on-demand music, web radio, and downloads) within the specified limits for each category.

For businesses exceeding the limits of user sessions and/or streams mentioned above, the fee will be calculated as a royalty based on the total revenue from the service, with a minimum based on the number of user sessions in combination with the amount of music used. The Licensee must pay the fee in advance according to the interval stated in the License Confirmation or Special Agreement.

The Licensee is required to design the online service in such a way that the number of user sessions, streamed music works, and downloads per month can be monitored.

Note regarding License Scope:

• The license does not cover podcasts, i.e., on-demand streaming of radio programs. For such a license, refer to
