Definitions and Special Terms

Music Reporting of Performed Music

The Licensee must report music according to what is outlined in the General Terms and Conditions.

Other

Advance Notification

If Stim requests it, the Licensee is obligated to notify Stim in advance about planned events. The notification must be submitted at least seven calendar days before the planned event and should include details such as the date, location, and venue.

Visits

Stim has the right to visit events in order to check that the Licensee provides accurate information regarding Reporting and Music Reporting. Stim must notify the Licensee in advance of the visit, and the Licensee must provide two entrance tickets at no cost.

Venue Leasing and Responsible Organizer

If a Licensee rents out a venue to a third party (a so-called responsible organizer), the responsible organizer should typically sign a license. The Licensee must notify Stim if the responsible organizer has used the venue and provide the date of the rental. The Licensee must also inform the responsible organizer that they may need to sign a license with Stim. If the responsible organizer does not sign a license when required, the Licensee may be considered responsible for the music usage.

A responsible organizer is primarily the one who holds a permit under the Public Order Act or a permit for selling food or alcohol at the location. Secondly, it refers to the one in whose cashbook the ticket revenue is recorded. Independent ticket agents are not considered responsible organizers if the majority of the revenue from ticket sales is credited to someone else. For events with free entry, the one who holds the financial accounting responsibility for most of the costs is considered the responsible organizer.
