What is an ISRC code?

ISRC stands for International Standard Recording Code and is an international standard that gives recordings a unique and permanent ID. The use of ISRC reduces the risk of confusion and makes it easier to manage rights when recordings are used across different formats and distribution channels. The ISRC code consists of 12 characters made up of both numbers and letters and is written with the prefix ISRC.
