FAQ

What is a music report?

A music report is simply a list of every piece performed at a given event—a set-list, in other words. Stim invoices, for instance, a concert promoter and then distributes the money to the songwriters and music publishers who own the rights to those works. To know how to split the royalties correctly, we need a complete list of all songs played. Usually the band, artist, or choir that performed the music submits this list, but in some cases the concert promoter sends it to Stim instead. You can file a music report via My Pages on our website—though you may first need to request access to report live performances.
