FAQ

What does a sub-publisher do?

This concerns music publishers’ handling of their music rights. An original publisher transfers the rights to its songs to a sub-publisher – but only for the use of the music in a specific country, or in several specific countries, and only for the period stated in the agreement between the original publisher and the sub-publisher. The sub-publisher then has the right to collect remuneration for the public performance in the specified country and/or for so-called “mechanical reproduction.”
