Report your live event to Stim

Photographer: Eyeem
Playing music live creates magic – but it is also a professional context where songwriters and composers are entitled to compensation for their work. Whether you are organising a concert, club night or a smaller acoustic gig, you are required to report to Stim. This ensures that those who created the music get paid when their works are performed. This guide helps you understand who should report, what should be reported and how to do it – step by step.
All questions about reporting
This guide helps you understand who should report, what should be reported and how to do it – step by step.
How to report, step by step:
Log in to My Pages.
- Select Report and then Invoice details.
- If you have multiple licences, choose the one you are reporting for.
- You can now choose to create a new event or complete an already started event.
- Fill in all the information we ask for.
- Submit the report.
After submitting the report, an invoice is normally issued within a week.
Important points when reporting:
Invoice documentation for events that have taken place
- In the web service we sometimes display events that have been identified via Stim's market monitoring. If you are the organiser for these, make sure that the information for each event is complete – for example regarding artist names and ticket prices/number of attendees.
- If any of the events should be reported by a colleague within your company, leave them. Events that are to be paid for by an external (hiring) party should be "rejected" and you should notify who the organiser is. Cancelled events are also rejected.
- Add any additional events you organised up to the most recent month-end as well as older events you may have missed previously.
- If you have received a request for reporting but have not organised any events or had any rentals click on "Nothing to report" – make sure that the entire requested period is included.
Report rentals
- If you have your own venue that has been rented out for music events, you must inform Stim who the organiser was on those occasions.
