Music promotion
Through scholarships, project grants and funding of activities that promote copyright, Stim contributes to a diverse Swedish music scene. Decisions about what the money should be used for are taken by Stim's committee for the promotion of musical diversity and copyright – an independent committee elected by Stim's members.
Stim's board annually decides on a budget framework for music promotion, but it is Stim's Committee for the Promotion of Musical Diversity and Copyright, NäMMU (Stims nämnd för främjande av musikalisk mångfald och upphovsrätt), that decides what the money should be used for. The committee also decides how the funds should be distributed to stakeholders within the Stim sphere who run the various initiatives. Which members will sit on the committee is determined by the members at Stim's annual general meeting, following a proposal from the nomination committee.
The common brand for Stim's music promotion is Stim Forward Fund.

Scholarships for Stim members
Anyone affiliated with Stim can apply for a Stim scholarship. By awarding scholarships every year, Stim invests in the future and helps create new, diverse Swedish music. Read more about how to apply for a Stim scholarship.
Travel grants and sheet music publication support
Stim also supports its members by funding, for example, travel grants for premieres, sheet music publication support, and support to promote musical cultural heritage. These grants are administered by Stim, except travel grants which are administered by Stim's wholly owned subsidiary .
Making sheet music available
Through the wholly owned subsidiary Svensk Musik Swedmic AB, Stim documents and provides information about copyright-protected Swedish music. This includes archived sheet music collections from which copies can be purchased when the sheet music is no longer for sale.
Advice, education and advocacy
Stim funds advice and training for rightsholders. This can include courses in running your own business, legal or financial advice, or training on contracts and rights in the music industry. These services are mainly provided by the rightsholder associations within the Stim sphere — FST, Skap and Musikförläggarna — which also work for Stim's members on cultural policy, for example through advocacy in connection with the EU copyright reform.
