How your Stim payments are calculated
You are entitled to compensation when your music has been performed at a concert, played on radio or TV, in a restaurant, streamed online, or used in a number of other music contexts.
This determines how much you are paid
How much money you receive from Stim depends on several things. Some examples of what affects it are:
- How many people have contributed to writing the song and what percentage share each person has. The song can also be published (i.e., assigned to a music publisher), which means the music publisher has its percentage share.
How long the song is, that is, the song's playtime in minutes and seconds. - Where the music has been played and how much money Stim has collected for it.
- The scope of Stim's work.
It's important to remember that the very prerequisite for us to be able to pay out money for your music is that we have the correct information, such as a work registration.
Payout areas – where your music has been played
How much you receive from Stim depends, among other things, on where your music has been played. On your settlement statement you can see which areas are included in your payment.
Distribution – the value of each performance
Number of attendees, ticket price, and how different streaming services charge listeners are examples of factors that affect how we distribute Stim payments to affiliated creators and music publishers.
Minimum amount for payments
The minimum amount to receive a payment from Stim is 100 kronor. If you do not reach 100 SEK, the money remains with Stim until you have reached the threshold.
