Register percentage shares for a work of music

When a work of music has been written by several people you must register how the shares should be distributed. You then enter what percentage each person should have so that the total amounts to 100 percent.
You add the work of music via My Pages. Your registration is crucial for Stim payments to be distributed correctly to the right creators. Therefore, make sure all information is correct before you submit the information to Stim.
Two ways to distribute the percentages
If you do not make a change to the distribution, the distribution will automatically be registered according to Stim's standard model, which is based on our distribution rules. If you want to make your own share split free allocation applies. You must also fill in information about both performance shares and mechanical shares. Read more below about how this works.
Option 1 – Stim's standard model
Stim uses a general model to distribute the percentages on a work of music based on our distribution rules. This option is used if nothing else is stated by the person registering the work of music.
Option 2 – Free allocation
You can choose to distribute the shares in a way that suits those of you who created the work of music, as long as you agree. We recommend that all creators sign and save the certificate of free allocation to avoid ambiguities in the future – the certificate does not need to be sent to Stim.
