Rights Categories

When rights holders assign administration of their music rights to STIM they are asked to choose which rights categories are to be included in the assignment.

In this way rights holders have the freedom to choose the scope of the assignment and which copyright organization they wish to manage their rights.

We list here the seven categories used by STIM.

  • Public Performance - Live
  • Public performance - recorded music
  • Communication to the public via TV (broadcast incl. Simulcasting)
  • Communication to the public via radio (broadcast incl. Simulcasting)
  • Reproduction of physical sound carriers - mechanization
  • Communication to the public via the Internet - interactive
  • Communication to the public via the Internet - non-interactive
