Nyhet15 December 2014

We are pleased to announce that Spotify royalties for the third quarter of 2014, which were to be paid in March 2015, will now be paid in December.

STIM has considered the feedback on and preference for the money being paid in the current financial year and has worked intensively to be able to bring payment forward. In addition to the monies for the second quarter of 2014, the December payments will include Spotify royalties for the third quarter.

The payments due after December will continue as previously announced, that is, royalties for the fourth quarter of 2014 will be paid in June 2015, royalties for the first quarter of 2015 in September 2015, and – lastly– royalties for the second quarter of 2015 in December 2015. Note that this periodicity applies to both Spotify and WiMP.

The new payment plan is the result of larger data volumes and increased complexity following the pan-European licensing of digital rights. So that we, together with the music services, can maintain the highest quality payments to our affiliates, the involved process management has been expanded, resulting in an adjusted payment plan.
