Report live performances and TV commercials

To receive payment for music that has been performed live or used in advertising, the publisher must report what was played through My Pages.

When Stim pays music royalties, we usually receive reports from the customer showing what was played. Sometimes the rightsholder needs to report when their music has been used so we can link Stim payments to that specific performance. Two examples are songs performed live at concerts or used in advertising.

Live performances

Music publishers report live performances on My Pages, under the menu Live performances. If you have already reported for the artist, they will appear in the list. Otherwise, add a new report. Then just follow the instructions. Here you can also see the status of your previous reports.

Have you kept track of of previous performances? To avoid missing out on payment, Stim‑affiliated music publishers have access via My Pages to live performances for which we lack setlists.

Music in commercials

Stim works with the service BMAT, which automatically detects commercials both in Sweden and in other countries. As a music publisher you can secure your advertising royalties by uploading recordings through BMAT's portal.

In some cases commercials cannot be detected automatically and you will need to report them manually via My Pages. You can find the function under Stim payments, then go to Missing payout and Music in advertising.
