Do you play music in your healthcare facility? Research shows that thoughtfully chosen music can improve the visitor experience. To use music legally in a business setting, you need a licence. Stim ensures that the money goes to the people who created the music.

Choose the right licence package for your organisation

In our shop you’ll find licence packages tailored to different needs. We offer three packages: Mini, Basic and Premium. Premium is our most comprehensive package and covers everything you may need.

If needed, we can tailor the packages to your organisation. That way you only pay for what is relevant, while knowing you have the right licences in place.

Suitable for organisations such as:

  • Hospitals
  • Health centres
  • Dental clinics
  • Care and nursing homes
  • Veterinary clinics

How is the cost calculated?

The fee for music in healthcare services is based on the size of the premises and the number of days you are open.

Example
Jasmina runs a dental clinic with a waiting room and four treatment rooms. She wants to create a safe and calm experience for her patients, so she always plays background music in the waiting room. Her licence fee is calculated based on the waiting room being 15 m² and the clinic being open 235 days per year.

Since many patients feel anxious during treatment, she also wants to play music in the treatment rooms. The treatment rooms total 32 m², and that area is then added to the fee.

Where does the money go?

The licence fee you pay is distributed to songwriters, composers and music publishers in accordance with copyright law. Stim is owned by rightsholders and operates as a member-owned economic association with no profit motive.

Together with you as a customer, we help create better conditions for creativity and renewal in Sweden’s music scene. Today, Stim represents nearly 100,000 affiliated music creators and publishers.
