STIM Platinum Award to Max Martin

2010-11-02

Composer Max Martin was on the 27th of October presented with the STIM Platinum Award. Kenth Muldin, CEO of STIM, handed over the award at a ceremony in the Stim Building.

- Max Martin has indeed kept us busy! He has been one of STIM's most successful composers since his breakthrough in the mid-nineties, and his career as a songwriter is truly unique, says Muldin.

Max Martin joined STIM on April the 20th 1988, at the age of 17. After being recruited to music legend Denniz Pop's Cheiron Studios in 1993, Martin's career as a producer and a songwriter soon exploded on a global scale. His genuine musicality, exceptional talent and hard working persona has since kept him at the very top of the international music industry year in and year out.

Mentioning the super star artists who have recorded his music soon turns in to a Who's Who in modern recording history: Backstreet Boys, Robyn, Five, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, Céline Dion, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Pink, Avril Lavigne, James Blunt, Katy Perry, Leona Lewis, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Kesha. The list could go on much further. Judging by Max Martin's current chart success on both sides of the Atlantic, he has never been as successful as he is right now.

This week three out of ten of the top songs on the Billboard Hot 100 has been co-written by Martin.
