Income from performing rights in Sweden rose by 19.9 %. The total amount for distribution increased by 2.8 %.
NCB´s revenue from licensing mechanical rights of STIM members fell by 19.0 %.
Income from abroad fell by 12.9 % of which, just over 70 % of the decline was attributable to the impact of a strengthening SEK in 2010.
Distributable income in 2010 declined by 2.1 %.
STIM´s total overhead ratio, defined as the ratio of the Society´s total revenue from performance of musik to the administrative costs of activities was 11.3 %.
The year was dominated by continuing major changes in the world around us. For several years, STIM has been equipped to represent our member´s rights in this changing world.
Our international engagement will take an increasingly important role. The outstanding example of successful bilateral cooperation is ICE, International Copyright Enterprise, which STIM owns jointly withe PRS for Music.
Formalized joint Nordic licensing venture for the online sector has been developed.
